Freedom to Trade / G-20
A campaign to be launched to coincide with the G-20 Summit in London in April 2009 which will feature a petition signed by Nobel laureate economists and other well known opinion leaders and academics. The campaign is being spearheaded by UK/US think tank International Policy Network in conjunction with other think tanks and organisations. Its purpose is to promote a public discussion around measures such as protectionism and trade barriers which are measures being promoted by politicians in an endeavour to protect their own economies in light of the current economic situation.
We had just one break-neck week to turn the branding around so that the web designers in the US had time to incorporate it into the website. A challenge I couldn’t refuse!
After a unanimous decision from both sides of the Atlantic, we settled on a stamp-effect logo with text in Lubalin Graph which will appear across all printed materials. The distressed effect will also be applied to various icons and details and the logo is being made into a rubber stamp that can be used on everything from envelopes to people…
Having worked out a rough style for the elements and colour scheme of the website, we’re now just waiting to see it go live in time for April 2nd!
