Parlour Song at the Almeida Theatre – until May 9 2009

The latest production at the Almeida Theatre opened on 26th March. Parlour Song is written by Jez Butterworth, directed by Ian Rickson and all the marketing materials have been designed and produced by With Relish. The story of two couples living on a on a new-build estate in Luton stars Amanda Drew (Eastenders), Toby Jones (W and Frost/Nixon) and Andrew Lincoln (Teachers, This Life, Love Actually). The “play is enthralling: it has a dazed, dream-like feel, yet is crisply written and punctuated by laugh-out-loud comedy… Jones’ attempt to execute the instructions on a sex therapy CD must be one of the funniest scenes on the London stage.” (FT).
